Our System

Port-O-Wall Systems pre-casts the
vertical elements of a traditional cast-in-place structure.
Only the foundation is cast-in-place. Our patented walls are
pre-cast with a "window" or Port in the base of the
wall. The steel and concrete of the foundation pass around
and through the Ports to form a continuous steel-reinforced
monolithic structure.

The resultant structure is
equivalent to structures created using traditional cast-in-place
methods. Port-O-Wall Systems eliminates the need for
elaborate forms or falsework. Port-O-Wall
Systems can be anchored to any number of foundations such as
spread footings for soundwalls, "L" footings for
retaining walls, or pile footings for our walls which incorporate
an integral collision barrier. Mating Tongue & Groove on
the panels edges aid alignment and enhance shear strength.

Port-O-Wall Systems' components are
manufactured by regional Port-O-Wall licensed
pre-casters.

The jobsite is readied by preparing
a form for the foundation. In most soils this is done simply
by excavating a neat-line trench. The panels are shipped by
truck. A crane lifts the panels into the trench as the crew
guides the panel into the mating groove on the adjacent
panel. The panels are held in place temporarily by pipe
braces. Next the reinforcing steel is placed in the
foundation and through the Port. Lastly the concrete is
poured into the foundation. This step creates a continuous
wall top-to-bottom and beginning-to-end.

Crews can install Port-O-Wall
Systems walls at about 200 linear feet per day. After the
concrete cures the braces are removed. The wall is now ready
for adjoining construction or landscaping . . . . Done.
